We provide emergency beds to women and children who need a safe place to go upon leaving their abusive homes. When you decide it’s time, we’ll help you get back on your feet.

• Over the last 5 years our emergency shelter beds have increased to 47.
• Iris Kirby House has 32 beds.
• O’Shaughnessy House has 15 beds.

24/7 Crisis Line

Both shelters, Iris Kirby House and O’Shaughnessy House, provide distress line coverage on a 24/7 basis. Many admissions to our shelters are done through the initial step of the woman calling our distress line. We talk to the woman, ensure she is safe, and the process most often begins from this very important point of “starting over.”
